Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of variations in temperature and curing time to enhance anti-wrinkle properties using Durapret LF Plus resin on cotton fabrics, especially on warp and weft direction fabric creasing. In this study, the anti-wrinkle was refined using the pad-curing method. The factors studied were variations in curing temperature (130, 140, and 150 ℃) and curing time (1, 2.5, and 4 minutes). The refinement was conducted by inserting the fabric into a resin solution at room temperature, padded, stretched, pre-dried, and cured. To determine the quality of the refinement results, a warp and weft direction wrinkle test was conducted. The results of data analysis with two-way ANOVA showed that curing temperature variation affected the warp and weft direction of the fabric while curing time variation did not. The best result of the creasing test was obtained in the resination process at 140 ℃ for 2.5 minutes, with a warp direction of 79° and a weft direction of 81°. Anti-wrinkle enhancement with Durapret LF Plus resin is recommended to increase the wrinkle resistance of cotton fabrics, both in warp and weft directions, making this resin suitable for use in textile product refinement in the textile industry.
